Tandoori Fish Fritters

Fish is the seasonal food with variety of taste either as fried, in curry or with rice. In almost every cuisine across the world fish is used. The most lovable kind of white meat, fish has an extraordinary taste as compared to any other kind of meat. Lets try this recipe to enjoy fish and tandoori combination.

Ingredients

  • For Marination:
  • Fish cubes ½ kg (boneless)
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Tandoori masala 3 tbsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Plain flour for dry coating
  • For Batter:
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Fresh coriander 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Salt few pinches
  • Water as required
  • Oil for deep frying

Cooking Directions

  1. Marinate fish with lemon juice, garlic paste, tandoori masala, salt and coriander powder.
  2. After 5 minutes, roll each fish piece in dry plain flour.
  3. Make a normal consistency batter, using all the ingredients listed for batter.
  4. Heat oil in a wok, dip each fish piece in batter and fry on medium flame for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Serve with ketchup, lemon slices or tamarind sauce.
  6. Note: To discard the particular smell of fish, apply wheat flour on fish pieces for five minutes and then wash.
