Ingredients
- For Marination:
- Fish cubes ½ kg (boneless)
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1 tsp
- Tandoori masala 3 tbsp
- Salt ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Plain flour for dry coating
- For Batter:
- Gram flour 1 cup
- Fresh coriander 2 tbsp
- Baking powder ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder ½ tsp
- Salt few pinches
- Water as required
- Oil for deep frying
Cooking Directions
- Marinate fish with lemon juice, garlic paste, tandoori masala, salt and coriander powder.
- After 5 minutes, roll each fish piece in dry plain flour.
- Make a normal consistency batter, using all the ingredients listed for batter.
- Heat oil in a wok, dip each fish piece in batter and fry on medium flame for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve with ketchup, lemon slices or tamarind sauce.
- Note: To discard the particular smell of fish, apply wheat flour on fish pieces for five minutes and then wash.
